A second official trailer has been released for the movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods, starring Zachary Levi, plus the movie has a new release date.
Fury of the Gods (a sequel to 2019s Shazam!), includes a time jump between the two movies. The movie follows Billy Batson (Asher Angel) and his friends, who are still working out how to be superheros. When a vengeful trio of ancient gods, the Daughters of Atlas, come to Earth, Shazam and his superpowered friends fight for their lives and the fate of the planet.
Other returning cast members joining Levi are Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, Meagan Good, D.J. Cotrona, Grace Caroline Currey, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Marta Milans, Cooper Andrews and Djimon Hounsou.
Directed by David F. Sandberg, the film also stars Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren.
The film is now scheduled to be released in theaters in North America on March 17th, 2023 and internationally beginning March 15th.
It was previously set for release in December 2022.
