An official trailer has been released for the movie Desperation Road, starring Mel Gibson, Garrett Hedlund and Willa Fitzgerald.
Described as a southern noir thriller and based on the novel of the same name by Michael Farris Smith, according to the official synopsis — Set in a small Mississippi town, the story follows Russell Gaines (Garrett Hedlund), a former convict striving to rebuild his life following his release from prison with the help of his father Mitchell (Mel Gibson). However, things take a dramatic turn when Maben (Willa Fitzgerald) enters Russell’s life, as the two of them find themselves on the run.
Directed by Nadine Crocker, the film will also star Ryan Hurst, Kat Foster, Woody McClain and Pyper Braun.
It is scheduled to be released on digital and on demand, on October 6th, 2023.
