A final trailer has been released for The Blackening, a comedy horror movie starring Grace Byers, Jermaine Fowler, Melvin Gregg, X Mayo, Dewayne Perkins, Antoinette Robertson, Sinqua Walls, with Jay Pharoah and Yvonne Orji.
According to the official synopsis — The Blackening centers around a group of Black friends who reunite for a Juneteenth weekend getaway only to find themselves trapped in a remote cabin with a twisted killer. Forced to play by his rules, the friends soon realize it isn’t a game.
Directed by Tim Story, the film was written by Tracy Oliver and starring actor Dewayne Perkins.
First screened at Toronto International Film Festival on September 16th, 2022, it is now scheduled to be released in theaters on June 16th, 2023.
